GRAMMY’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Run–DMC

Run DMC honered with the GRAMMY’s Lifetime Achievement Award. They are the first hip-hop act to receive this honor.

The Recording Academy presents this Special Merit Award to performers who, during their lifetimes, have made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording.
