In recognition of todays anniversary of JMJ’s death, MTV News got an exclusive visit to his former studio (24/7 Studio in Queens, New York).
The Queens native William “The Mayor” Pittman bought the studio with his partners Erik Jewel and female rapper Vein in January this year.
Pittman told MTV News in what bad condition he found JMJ’s studio when he got the keys earlier this year.
Just found Run-DMC at emusic.com. Emusic currently has the latest Run-DMC relase Live at Montreux 2001 available.
Well, I doubt that emusic will sell other Run-DMC releases soon, as Arista (Sony-BMG) does not seem to be willing to sell their music DRM free for the time being.
DMC was interviewed by Chet Curtis from NECN (New England Cable News). Chet and DMC are talking about DMC’s adoption and his work for the kids in the Felix Organisation/Camp Felix.

The news section of DMC’s homepage has an interview where DMC states that he’s “95 percent done with a new solo album which he says will open a lot of eyes in hip-hop”.
Well, no release date so far, but at least it seems to get closer.
